Biketoberfest 2006
Biketoberfest is always a good time, kind of the last hurrah for a lot of the Cyclonauts before the season wraps up. A few of the bike racers come, and most of the active tri folks go. Jim and Kelly hosted from their new crib and threw down a nice party afterwards. It's a great chance to catch up with people who we have not seen for some time and to relive some race / party memories.
For a lot of people on the tri team, the season is far from over with a lot of us running right through the winter, but that's for another day.
Here's what the bike looked like, 50 pretty casual miles over 3 hours with a couple climbs thrown in (first one was a pretty cool 6 miles) I think we exercised our jaws as much as our legs!!
Dan and I ran afterwards for a 1/2 hour, it's such a cool feeling when you legs release. The run looked like:
This run was particularly good for me because my HR got up into the 170s which hopefully broke me out of the low HR running funk that I've been in.
