Lot of stuff over the last few days

We made the trip to Newfoundland for the short course duathlon world championships... Jill and Charlie did excellent with Jill coming in 18th in her age group and Charlie coming in 7th. Great fun was had by all. The race day weather could have been better... It poured all day.
The drive was pretty tough... 10 hours the first day to Sackville New Brunswick, then 4.5 hours to North Sydney Nova Scotia. 6 hour ferry to Port Aux Basque Newfoundland, then a 2.5 hour drive to Corner brook at night, in the rain, surrounded by insane truck drivers. We decided to make a big push and drive all the way home after getting some sleep on the ferry but by the time we arrived I was seeing things...
While in Corner Brook I was able to run 3 10Ks, 1 each on Wednesday the 26th, Thursday the 27th, and Friday the 28th. It was very inspirational with all of the athletes in town.
Today Did 4 power starts on the dam; felt really strong. This could be because it is the first time in ages that my legs were not fatigued. And got another flat. Must be something stuck in my tire that I could not find... Biting flies made me change it pretty quick and get the heck out of there. Dismal workout today.
BUT.... Ironman 70.3 in Cancun is allowing teams so Lauren (swim), Nick (bike) and myself (run (ugh)) are going to rock the friggin house!! I am pretty darn excited.
