Doug (swim), Me (bike), and Chris (run) did the old colony oly tri as a team today. One week out from lake placid. Should be a perfect short hard effort. Ended up taking second all male team. Cool beans. Doug swam the mile in 24:12, I rode the 24M in 1:02:23, and Chris ran the 6M in 46:09.
Ok ok... too much stuff going on. Work, training, blah blah blah. Taking a break from the blog. Hopefully will get race reports on as they happen.

2 hour masters swim in Monson. Really wanted to ride as well but too much stuff to do around the house....
Ran to the Y (4:30 AM this time) in Spokane for a swim and met up with a masters session. It was great! Warm up then 100M, 200M, 300M, 400M, 500M, 400M, 300M, 200M, 100M with 20 seconds rest between intervals. Ran back to the hotel, showered and off to work.
The last week or so had me in a funk... traveling to Richmond with basically no workouts. I took my tri bike out for a hard effort to redfire farm and back (19.7 miles). I hammered on the way out, and backed off a little on the way back. Legs were a little sore from yesterday's run.
19.7 miles 1:05 Average HR 155 18.3 MPH average
Traveled to Richmond for a BPS excercise. Ended up working late, and literally every piece of excercise equipment in the hotel fitness room was broken. 1 treadmill slipped so bad that I could not run on it, the other one would not go above 4.5 mph, the recumbent bike did not work, and the elliptical machine would cycle super hard then drop into pause for 5 seconds, then release, repeat. I got in 1 40 minute workout cycling through all the machines to thier point of failure.
Conference in Morristown, I was able to get up early and run every morning which was awesome. 2 days ran down through Madison, the 3rd I ran to the fitness center from the hotel, took a spin class, and then ran back to the hotel. Left to head back home crazy early in the AM on the 27th since we are heading down to FL for a long weekend.
102.3 miles, 6 hours 18 minutes, average HR 149 average speed 16.5.
50 mile group ride out of Northampton up through Greenfield with Jim, George, Dan, and myself along with a couple others. Awesome ride, with George, Dan, and myself alternating pulls literally as hard as we could to catch Jim. He smelled blood at 2/3 the way up a chopper and took off and it took us going 45 mph to start to reel him in!!
49.5 miles, average speed 18.1 mph. Average HR 137
